I think we know that EXRs SP performance since the 2021 SPP that filled the coffers for the next few years of exploration has also, inturn, killed any chance of a wave of retail investors getting onboard based "potential" alone.
It was the potential that got us to the ATH and a fully subscribed SPP. That and a sprinkling of hype from NEXT, at one point stating flowtests as early as Q4 2021 (that turned out to be way off the mark). Add in some ordinary results and the occasional duster.. Cracker is the last I recall? and here we are.. a SP that has declined steadily down (except for the short lived false dawn in October 21).
The fact that the SPP price is somthing we are aspiring to get back to 20 months later is evidence to that fact EXR is not returning value to shareholders....yet... but it is providing somthing else... opportunity. So much has been achieved since the ATH in April 2021 and yet we are down 68%.
We need insto's to get this jump started. Serious volume and serious cash. EXR will need to generate results that demand the big end of town to come onboard. The MOU in the background and QLD gas play are both nice to have with great potential but it's the flow testing to commence within weeks that IMO is going to load the silver bullet and finally set us up to run hard.
Having said all that, I held 90k shares at the ATH. That's now accumulated to 500k. The path we have taken so far has provided that opportunity. If we had sustained the the SP I beleive I'd still be sitting on 90k shares, or worse, moved on...
We may only be 90 or so days away from results that will light the fuse... or ... prove you can sometimes try to hard to dig yourself out of a hole. Hopefully it's the former.
