As per my post above that same pattern occurred on Friday. The volume for the week was low again with the CSX trading disproportionately represented.

The share price overall kept up the slow leak, which is consistent with the broader market, particularly the small cap sector. Lot of uncertainty in the air, US banks collapsing, Credit Suisse débâcle, questions about Deutsch Bank - what's going on in China and Europe blah blah blah. The net effect is people selling to hold cash (or buy gold). The problem with cash in a high interest rate environment is you'll slowly go backward - which may be a better option for some than quickly going backward if you have bad investments.

Like a lot of others here the risk/reward profile keeps me in investments like EXR, matter of fact I bought more through the week despite deciding I had more than enough. I like to remind myself that buying when the market is full of fear and doubt is when there is serious money to be made - which is why I bought lots more EXR during the Covid crash.

I'm banking on this accelerating when we're back out in the sunshine. The northern summer is upon us, which is much better for operations at EXR.

I'm hoping the next few months are going to provide us with some concrete plans for the company and the future.
