In Darryl Guppy's first book he says something like "be prepared to be lonely if you trade in shares." His basic premise is that at dinner parties etc people will shy away from you if you talk shares.

I have learned that he is right, no one cares. I think that is part of the reason we meet in HC. We are looking for like minded people, people who care about what we care about.

Even though we disagree about which stock at which time we will still find someone who wants to talk about it.
