Good question and I think LNC have a great future too except for one thing, they need high oil prices for their diesel from coal technology to be economical.

Right now with crude prices having dropped back as much as they have I think it will take time for LNC to be able to make a buck out of it.

They took over SXP because of all the brown coal but I think they are now looking at partners (Chinese) to get some survival cash into the company.

I did not take up any LNC shares but not because I thought a lot about, it was because I was intent on the cash. At the time it was about buying bank warrants but as I have said before, in the end I could not think of anything more effective than buying more EXT.

LNC is a company that I intend to be cognizant of going into the future and when I see oil prices rising I will be watching them with even greater interest.
