A lot of people are ignorant of the full facts myron, when the DSTO completed the mach 5/50 program back in 2005 after being paid by the US through the mach 5/50 DARPA program originally, the technology was showcased in 2007 see here-:

The Mach 5/50 technology was featured at the DARPATech 2007 Systems
and Technology Symposium held last August in Anaheim, California, USA.

The requirements for the development of mach 5/50 were this-:

(U) Early Metal Storm tasks demonstrated revolutionary weapon concepts for firing small caliber projectiles at very high rates without the need for internal moving parts. The continuing Mach 5/50 tasks extend the concepts and technologies for leap-ahead performance in tactically relevant, lightweight, medium caliber direct fire weapons. The medium caliber projectiles (50 millimeter bore) will have a minimum muzzle velocity of 1,600 meters per second (~ Mach 5) at 600 rounds per minute or greater. Mach 5/50 technology development will provide multiple services with a low-cost, reliable enabling technology to support a wide range of current/future applications including extended range combat vehicle firepower and lethality, full-spectrum future combat vehicle lethality for active protection systems, high engagement rate naval air defense,
critical fixed site defense and improved aircraft self-defense. Portions of the technology development will be conducted under an agreement with the Australian Defence Science and Technology Office.

(U) Program Plans:
- Develop medium caliber concepts, detailed performance simulations and technical analyses.
- Fabricate and test critical technology subsystems.
- Complete integration of pre-prototype components and evaluate against simulation-based interim performance parameters.
- Critical design review and complete fabrication of full-function prototype.
- Complete system test and evaluation of full function prototype and validate simulations.
- Conduct firing demonstration and deliver final report.
- Transition hardware and data packages to DoD laboratories for Service-specific engineering and platform integration.

I believe the Program is past the last dot point in the Program Plans i.e.

"Transition hardware and data packages to DoD laboratories for Service-specific engineering and platform integration."

Especially the last part of that about platform integration, I believe Hyperburst is one such platform, there will be others, now lets just say that the IP in the Hyperburst round was worth $1 for each round, which by the way would not be unreasonable for such an advancement in ammo tech, it could be worth more than that even, now look at how the us has just developed a new round called M855A1 Black tip ammo, they have made 300,000,000 of them or more so far, the US use 100,000,000 rounds per year just for training purposes let alone firing a round in anger, that three hundred million rounds will be on a repeatable basis as far as production especially if it is the best of type, I reckon Hyperburst will become the best of type, so you do the sums and remember this is just one platform spun out from the mach 5/50 program, there will be others as well, what sort of value you could put on that is any ones guess at the moment, but it would be huge and at the present time we aren't seeing one cent of that value in the current SP!

This "IS" metalstorm IP, there isn't any doubt about that, we will be or at least should be paid for it, one way or another in the end, either by compensation for using the IP under Eminent Domain or through royalties in product sold, I think those larger holders in the top twenty are well aware of this and hence their continued interest in the company.
