It is a bit perplexing why the company - even if just for the sake of sparing its retail investor base from having to resort to speculation - could not have been less ambiguous in its statements associated with this trading suspension.

For example, if it was a case of Teva leaving, by saying something like, "...corporate developments relating to an existing partnership agreement...", or if it was a new partnership deal that was being struck, using wording along the lines of, "...corporate developments relating to an agreement with a new strategic partner..."

Because, with the announcement being so cryptically worded, it really reads like a bit of a nothing statement, hence all the guesswork that is having to take place.

The may have just as well said, "We request suspension in the trading of our shares because we need to, because something is happening."
