That sure doesn't sound like they're passing on OBJ if they've just been granted an MTA extension. If anything, they need more time to do what it is they need to do which seems to me warrants further interest by 3M.

IMO this tells me that they are further investigating potential uses for the technologies that OBJ have to offer. Whatever reason that may be is unknown to us as it was not made clear in the announcement, but I'm hoping that we will be kept updated about further developments.

Today's announcement being labelled as non-price sensitive was just poor form, and there was very little information given other than a 60-day extension/delay. This obviously put off short term traders who had been buying in anticipation of the news that was expected next week. However, I wouldn't be expecting news straight away as it was the completion of the trial and they would possibly require some additional time to compile information.
