    Extensive Iron Ore Mineralisation Discovered
    at Multiple Locations
United Minerals Corporation NL (UMC) is pleased to announce the initial results of the 2007 drilling campaign at its Pilbara Iron Ore Project (UMC 100%).
    HIGHLIGHTS
Drilling has encountered extensive iron ore mineralisation at multiple locations from drilling within E47/1429, one of three granted tenements held by UMC in the Central Pilbara iron ore province of Western Australia.
High grade mineralisation (including 20m at 61.1% Fe) has been discovered in the highly prospective Mount Newman Member of the Marra Mamba Iron Formation in a centrally located part of the target zone. This area is now named the Railway Prospect.
The Railway Prospect is open 1.3km to the east (tenement boundary), 400 metres to the west and open at depth to the south and north. Also the mineralisation is still open further to the east into UMC’s Area B (figure 2).
The Jocelyn Prospect drilling has defined mineralisation persistent at depth
(including 33m at 56.1% Fe) which is open to the east and south east. Further drilling is required to link up areas of mineralisation.
The Camp Hill Prospect drilling has confirmed the area as hosting high and medium grade mineralisation (including 46m at 57.8% Fe) right up to the BHP Billiton (BHPB) tenement boundary line and this UMC prospect can now be confirmed as the extension of BHPB’s known mineralised body.
The Camp Hill West prospect drilling indicates widespread mineralisation
(including 6m at 58.0 % Fe) that runs in a westerly direction, from the outcrop area, under cover for potentially 3km to the tenement boundary.
