Thanks for that @Klogg. Plenty of talk about what is already well known: transition away from amalgams, recent heavy investment in IP, impending large op leverage benefits (if revenues keep moving in the right direction) etc. However, very little talk about what I really want to know. That is, is it developing a durable and defensible competitive advantage? If IP is the greatest source of its blue sky, then how is this IP positioned to weather threats from global gorilla's? Is its R&D/IP more focused or differentiated in some way? Is its IP similar to that of others, but its key moat resides in customer stickiness and customer relationships?
