Yes I know I said I would not post any more, but I just Found an overall indicator that I had not thought of or seen before. Unlike the ones above that flag changes before they happen this one is more of a confirmation of when a correction recession is happening. I had no idea this is true right now. If I just use direction of change as opposed to 50% as an absolute marker then it gave a good 6 month warning.
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/FMfcgzGmtXKMcBSHMqHnNmgzfhmsnPtCMy favorite optimism/pessimism indicator is how many stocks are trading above their 200 day moving averages. If more than 50% are trading above I consider that an optimistic trend and if percentage is below that's a pessimistic trend.
This is a chart of how many stock were trading above their 200 day moving average each day for the past year:
This chart really doesn't need a lot of explanation. Optimism was the highest on 2/10/21 at 92.18% and has been on a very, very steady decline since that day.
I don't know how you manage your portfolio but my absolute worst case stop loss is the 200 day moving average and my sell point is usually when my position shows a loss at the 3 month mark.
My stop losses and sale points are triggering and I'm accumulating cash.
I am still staying with my March to June No Later than September for a major market wide correction. That this correction will take Lynas below $5.00. This dip right now may not be the real correction. I am beginning to think I may be too optimistic and this maybe it, as I read more. There are still many Pro articles and I read them as well as the Con. But the ratio of articles is changing, and the cons seem to be using more data rather than just saying not to worry this has happened before and it will go away quickly.
I have started selling Covered calls on all the stocks I want to hold. Only if the strike price plus the call price combined will make me happy if I lose the stock. As I see a correction develop I will take more risk with covered Calls. Of course as others see it the Time premium will go down Oh well.
