Just keep in mind, Bernard through announcments has also pointed out they can mine within critically endangered areas with the right permits given before hand. So I wouldn't think to much of buffer zones if mining is still permitted in endangered areas.
Meanwhile though, at least another 1000 species went extinct today thanks to global warming and people still relying on fossil fuel vehicles. Pitty the greenies push and push to save this plant. Dragging out a good project for humanity, while more potent ones continue.
