I was mainly responding to your quotation of Musk's dislike for acid being used to process lithium.
Not exactly sure what you mean by "outsourced". Do you mean non-US ?

PLL is in North Carolina USA. LTR and CXO are in Australia.
Each of these currently has some form of offtake agreement with Tesla.
The processing of their hard rock lithium typically involves acid.

I hope your right about him not buying INR. I actually hope that Tesla doesn't buy any of my lithium miners, including INR.

I expect that though Musk dislikes the use of acid, he understands that he has to get lithium from wherever he can, until he works whether he should lick the salt before sucking the lemon or vice-versa in processing that lithium out of his clay.

BTW I understand that Musk was initially South African and Canadian before he got his US citizenship in 2002.
