Perhaps there could be small starting digging- I mean very small , ultra non- disruptively . (if there is deemed to be such a thing )

* This is a “stupid idea” that I’m saying .*
Silly . And already thought of no doubt .

But sometimes there is some useful idea or thought or thinking , which comes from a ‘stupid’ ,& ignorant thought really in my case , being nowhere near to this or knowing it really .

I am all for protecting native species and conserving the local environment everywhere including eliminating non- local species which have disrupted the natural ecology . Being sensible too where a conclusion can be worked out . All landscapes have been disturbed through the years and last thousand years +

Benefits need to outweigh the negatives - sure .
But better , best of all is — for real good to come from something .
*And outweigh everything* - materially for all and the people involved be positively affected and environmental advances even occur, overall really good outcomes — after All things are considered and can be evaluated.
For this - need to almost bore the full extent of all angles , and totally open the subject to discussion and for organised inspections .

Everyone relevant , and any other interested locals past and present , international botanists , medicinal plants specialists , academics , whoever . Can be used as case study - presented at a forum or conference.
Write it up , give full opportunity for people to be informed and get involved in the conservation of the species, or have a say if they want to .

Understand - fully , what is going on .

So - some minor digging , and make up some bags of the soil even , very organised, with a dedicated group of Landcare type enthusiasts with local near town and community news briefs.
All in an organised manner , not random - & involve school kids in a park or parks area , offer with planning to nation native garden species experts, and into even selected gardens or just regional somewhere near with nearly similar geology transplant but fenced off and managed but able to be seen, all for awareness- plant some of these plants in the specific soil from near exactly where they’ve come from .
It will be worth more in small bags , and I’m only talking of a small tiny yard like area to remove from the surface deposit.

It’s not funny what I’m saying , I know this.
But if there is something in this mix , boron rich with lithium rocket nutrient fertiliser somehow - well at least the plants will be in their native soil and clusters of to observe and community can protect and appreciate.

Propagate some of this very special buckwheat , and let people get curious about it if they choose to .
Don’t want it to become a new weed ! - but at least have it a little more actually valued and held , near there , out of the mine area . While discussions go on .
