not yet. but you know the day is coming. what would you do as a government to change it all around so people bought electric over fuel/ tax the bejesus out of diesal and petrol, i think its in Canberra that if you own one of these cars you cant park within a certain distance of the certain areas/ i would have to check on that as i read it a couple of months ago. but it is certainly a law/ the regos will go up/ you will have no choice but to convert. the price of electric cars are quite high at the moment/ but they will come down once they start to populate the nation with them. we are only at the start of the transition. in reallity they are changing a culture/ and that takes awhile. most of the major car companies have already partnered up with producers/ ford and toyota with ioneer/ gm with L A C. . have you picked yours out yet?
