Lithium Americas Corp last week released an announcement about producing battery grade carbonate from claystone at Thacker Pass.
While I don't know whether or not this clay is a similar make up to the clay we are stockpiling. I do know that the mine site is not far from Ioneers (similar area) which may mean a similar make up of mineral resource. If this is the case it will be a good additional upside in the years ahead as our stockpiled clay reserve will be able to be on sold to LAC or we could work out how to extract it ourselves. Giving rise to an additional resource not yet factored in.
