Day Two, And The Indaba Talking Shop Cranks Up A Gear
By Our Man in Oz, in Cape Town
Quote
"Steve Galloway, chief executive of Extract Resources, produced two companies to watch, his, and its close associate, Kalahari Minerals. The key to both, as many Minesite readers know, is the Rossing South uranium discovery, adjacent to Rio Tintos 35 year-old Rossing mine. Steve has a good story to tell, but he also knows the clock is ticking on a number of critical decisions. The most important of those is deciding when to stop drilling and to start mining. This is obviously a high-class problem, with some shareholders keen to see Rossing South fully drilled out. But thats a process which could take years. Others want a fast start on mining. Whatever happens, Extract and Kalahari will be two stocks to watch in 2010. Rio Tinto will certainly be watching."
