Good comments. Yes on a number of occassions JG used the "code" of "cleaner energy alternatives" rather than specifying gas ... maybe this was something she agreed with the Greens who wouldn't wnat the reality of the biggest winner in all this to be another fossil fuel. hard for JG to say we are moving to a clean energy future if the main impact will be a move to gas from coal! And as you say gas will be needed in alliance with renewables to smooth supply and make them viable.
