Yeah, I also paid particular attention to that green Senator saying those words 77anthony.
She actually said transition from Coal to GAS when her party is so against Coal Seam Gas!!
They are a bunch of nutters!!
Maybe she expects non-coal seam gas to fill any gas fired power station?? Good luck finding enough!
Yes, I also agree this is far from certainty. There is bound to be revolt in the Labor caucus. Gillard has not included them in the consultation processes to construct this policy and in Labor's usual way, they are too quick to make policy without considering all ramifications.
Labor right are seeing RED in my opinion.
Remember also, if ANY Labor back bencher crosses the floor they face being booted out of the party! Labor commands absolute obedience! The coalition allow their back bench to cross the floor and respect an individual member's right to their opinion.
Something has to give. :)
*sigh* I think Some Guy suggested I turn my TV off and paint my nursery when politics annoys the crap out of me. I'm starting to really think there is merit to his wisdom - haha
Yaq is singularly focused on his investment in ESG. His integrity is in the right place but I also suspect he might be older and wiser than me...
Lets see if there is a boost to CSG tomorrow or if not tomorrow we can hope Yaq's vision of exuberant celebration amoungst the executive team is going on behind the scenes. :)
This Carbon Tax package does nothing for me personally except cost me money so if I can get compo through an ESG bidding war, I can take my profits then send it all offshore to a political regime which doesn't do my head in as is happening in Australia!
