On a similar basis when computers hit the business world you had geeks om one side and dinosaurs on the other and neither understood each other
I had a friend who was employed (major bank) on the basis that she could understand both by being logical and not being confined to a prescribed protocol, could see the benefits of both sides
She transformed the IT department, people who were now happy to be appreciated and the grunts on the floor who now had someone they could actually talk to and understand
The problem is that the top people have to put control and faith into someone who does not have a prescribed talent and the bit of paper that goes with it.
