Gotta disagree WASA. Shells play at Senegal has drawn international interest to this unexplored shelf which will be a lingering positive. Given Shell's past mistake on the neighbouring block why wouldn't another player throw 65 mill at a well in this block with World oil reserves diminishing at a great rate.

With all the recent publicity there's a high probability that there may be more players bidding (increased competition) for a shot at this now if Shell don't take up the option.
Senegal to be dumped & forgotten - I don't think so.
