If I recall correctly Exxon weren't going to dril a 2nd well, let alone a 3rd if the results of the 1st well didn't prove successful and warrant further exploration in the permit.
Exxon may be a big company but they still don't throw an extra US$200m without the risk/reward being there.
Bodes well for TAP SC41 IMHO.
