Exxon is a big name, nothing more. Their Arkansas project is as uncertain as all other exploration projects when the first drill touches soil. It's not a Tier 1 jurisdiction, it's high opex, nobody knows how big a resource might be there, nobody knows how permitting processes play out.

The US tend to loudly announce the on-shoring of supply chains while in the background they're trying to source in other allied countries. they know that it's extremely difficult to launch new projects there as the keep-it-in-the-ground movement is quite powerful. they might fail or succeed. if they succeed, then no sooner than in 10-15 years.

also, Lithium is not just EV. it's a lot more.

regarding EV, right now the general global economic development is forcing the boom to relax. it's probably just a healthy correction. environmental goals will not be reverted, they may be delayed or stretched, but not reverted. the world will not turn back to fossil age so be patient.

it's always the same. people think they were just on the edge of becoming rich with their 2.000$ investment, talked all their friends into it and now feel panic and their friends pressure when the SP takes a breather.
