I guess you know that the auction is the tidy up of the day's unfulfilled orders? That the price at auction is set by an algorithm determined by the ASX, so there is no up and down price?
In fact the auction is simply an opportunity for outstanding orders to be matched - buyers to sellers - there is no price bidding.
