Pleased to hear it clearly stated the wand is in now in play for other than P&G skincare. Could have been stated more clearly in the announcement, and highlighted as an important development.
Steve - don't expect Hotcopper posters to be uncritical supporters of OBJ, ignoring all the balls-ups.
If you truly want honesty and integrity from holders who post, that's an inescapable part of the deal pal, you don't just get one-eyed barracking. It's a chat site, not an OBJ management fan club.
Having the unmitigated gall to attribute the terrible share price decline (and even scaring-off talented, but apparently timorous, potential Directors) to posts made here was laughable and frankly, made me feel relieved you are not in the running for OBJ Chair.
By all means, let us look to the future, because the past is too painful to keep reflecting on. Aside from the long list of perfecly legitimate criticisms, which I won't reiterate, the two essential criticisms, which are more plain observations, are:
1. Failure to transition the great tech developed by Jeff into revenue in a timely manner
Sure, we get it, it's harder than you expected and multinationals are not one bloke deciding whether to take up OBJ tech. A year has become a couple of years, then a couple of years has become a few years. As you point out, others are developing new tech as well.
2. Lack of adequate and clear communication with shareholders and the market
One of the reasons why OBJ board on HC is a 'hornet's nest' is the company's ongoing comms inadequacy. Thousands of posts here revolve around just trying to interpret the ambiguous announcements, even on the most straightforward elements.
The board still seems incapable of appreciating they should communicate clearly those thing about which they are not constrained.
For example, P&G is providing relevant data to OBJ prior to revenue payment. We want to know what it is before the 4c, given the huge time-lag and especially since the late payment occurred.
Your dismissive response to questions on that subject was symptomatic of that very problem, and poorly received. You have the data, nothing prevents you telling us, yet you choose not to - that is nothing to do with confidentiality.
Also, how can P&G revenue not be expected to increase each successive quarter when, since you've been following HC, you now know a load of new P&G products have just been paired with OBJ royalty- generating devices?
