Skin Elements Limited (ASX: SKN) continues to make rapid progress in its roll-out of the Company’s Invisi Shield® Natural hand sanitiser. Skin Elements launched Invisi Shield® Natural last month. Since then the Company’s technical team has finalised the product formulation for Invisi Shield® Natural, and the product has been submitted for independent laboratory testing – with results due in the very near future. In addition, the Company has also commenced its first production run of Invisi Shield® Natural, with bottling and packaging well underway at its facility in West Perth, Western Australia. Sales have also commenced via the Skin Elements online store – www.sknlife.com.au – and are going exceptionally well, with sales via the Company’s Australian and New Zealand distributor network due to commence this month. All this comes at a time when the global demand for hand sanitisers is experiencing unprecedented growth. According to global market intelligence and research company VynZ Research, the global hand sanitiser market was valued at US$2 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow to US$5.5 billion by 2025 - a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 17% from 2020 to 2025. VynZ Research also says that the usage and demand for hand sanitisers has multiplied four-times since December 2019, contributing to the massive growth of the hand sanitiser market globally1. In VynZ Research’s view, the significant global growth in the hand sanitiser market is being driven by an increasing awareness of hand hygiene. This basic hygiene method is now taken as a crucial regime to restrict the incidence of any infection or spread of viruses. The background – what is Invisi Shield® Natural Skin Elements has utilised its expertise in developing advanced anti-microbial natural skincare products to produce the Invisi Shield®Natural hand sanitiser, which combines an all-natural skincare formulation with the active ingredient, Path-Away®. Invisi Shield® Natural is a natural alcohol-free, anti-microbial formula, hand sanitiser designed to deliver protection against a wide range of harmful pathogens. Invisi Shield® Natural’s all-natural, alcohol-free formulation is designed to address increasing concerns about skin sensitivity due to the high repetitive use of alcohol-based sanitisers, while also delivering the same efficacy in providing protection and control as traditional alcohol-based hand sanitisers. Laboratory testing to prove efficacy The laboratory testing Invisi Shield® Natural is being undertaken at a world-recognised independent ISO 9002:2015 certified microbiology laboratory in the United Kingdom. The testing program is being performed to accepted testing protocols (BS EN 14476), and is designed to test the Invisi Shield® Natural hand sanitiser’s efficacy against the Feline Coronavirus, a surrogate of the COVID-19 coronavirus. The tests are expected to be completed in the near future and results will be released once they have been analyzed and interpreted. Production underway Skin Elements also advises that the first production run of Invisi Shield® Natural has been fast-tracked and is now well underway, and is progressing well. The Company has taken delivery of the first batches of key active natural ingredients, together with 100,000 bottles, with further to follow. The Invisi Shield® hand sanitiser product range is now available for sale from the Company’s online store www.sknlife.com.au. The Company’s existing Australian and New Zealand distributor network services in excess of 10,000 retail outlets, and will be another key focus for Invisi Shield® sales. Beyond domestic markets, Skin Elements has also experienced a very high level of interest and inquiry in relation to the sale and distribution of Invisi Shield® into a number of large global markets, which represent major potential opportunities for the Company.
