Both sides of politics are involved, there is no bias in my post.

All these decisions were made by politicians against the wishes of or without knowledge of the respective services senior personnel.

In reality the question should be one of integrity of these decisions. I find it hard to believe they were all made with the best interests of the Armed Forces in mind. If they were the top brass would have had more input.

In many countries it is common knowledge that some political decisions are corrupt. Australia is different, but maybe only because we choose not to look too hard.
