Moony, I agree drones would be of benefit for direct border protection, but we need a long-range, all-weather "strike" capability as well.This latter would NOT be served by the F35 that cant fly near thunderstorms, and was previously served by the awesome F-111 "Pig". A repeat production run of the F-111 with modern radars & electronics wouldnt be too silly.
