AVZ holders seem blind to the massive political risk to any investment in the DRC, it has an appalling history. Also to the to me insurmountable transport problems. By all means they are entitled to a punt, and I hope it comes good for them, but I have spent some time in Africa, and they might profit from such too, but highest grades and quantities here might as well be on the Moon. I owned AVZ ages ago and sold out at $15.50.
I would recommend to Scarpa that he research the history of the DRC and problems of mining ventures in this very mineral rich area. It suffers a lot from violent anarchy, topped up by dread diseases etc. It had a very bad start in its introduction to the modern world when it fell to the Belgians, and in particular their king. One of the worst of colonial occupations ever in Africa. Some were good, very good, but not this one.
Bagging LTR will not make people invest in AVZ. They are two vastly different situations.
