Pilbara Minerals made a resource upgrade of 52mt on Sept. 2015 after drilling of 27,000mt (including previous drilling by Talison for tantalum). At Kathleen Valley, Liontown has done more drilling so far.
Since drilling re-commenced in February 2019, a further 91 RC holes have been drilled, including five reentries, for 18,164m.
This brings the total amount of drilling completed by Liontown at Kathleen Valley to 280 holes for 41,379m, comprising 238 RC holes for 36,817m and 42 diamond core holes for 4,562m.
The previous pit design on the below graphic (given on an anns. on Feb. 4 2019) will now be extended and maybe will go down to 450mt (Like Kidman Resources Early Grey pit)
The depth of the pit was considered as 200mt. But there was no 82mt (combined) lithium intersections starting at 277m (48mt @1.50%Li2O) and going down to 325m.
It is obviously going deeper (see the drill section) like Earl grey deposit, or like Mt Marion Deposit as it is marked as OPEN to depth on the company's cross-section.
Strike length of high grade deep pegmatites goes to NW and 600m confirmed according to company anns.
