Fellow Shareholders.
A friend of mine has made Piedmont Lithium's value increase the target for his ire and together we can only scratch our collective scalps as to Vulcans ditto.
To make matters worse we then have LTR, like the prettiest wallflower at the dance, seemingly ignored while the suiters instead pick up the lesser blossoms to the left and right of us.
The drastic value increase in the above mentioned companies came about because high profile people (Gina Rinehart in regards to Vulcan) put them on the map by buying in. This is the effect a validation from a Known Entity like Gina has on the person on the street, desperate to "get ahead" and becoming financially independent but with very little knowledge of the sector as such. Such people will follow a person who looks like "they've got it together".
Picture then Mr. Tim Goyder doing the same thing today, as an outsider, to Liontown...
That he would buy 18% of the company in one go.
The shares would spike to $15.00!
But because he is already invested he is flying under the radar and causes very small ripples in the pond.
But here's the thing.
Every chance Tim gets he buys MORE stock in Liontown. This of course is observed by us but goes unnoticed by people in general so at best he is preaching to the already converted and (like a preacher?) gives us a feeling of contentment.
And since what Tim touches tends to turn to gold whilst - in the case of Vulcan - what Gina did looks to me - at best - like a long term punt my money stays with LTR. Nothing wrong with what Gina did but most people don't have the staying capacity that she does and would like a return on their money sooner.
LTR will be sooner......
