tractors may outsell EVs 2 to 1 at present but i hazard a guess that you know, as well as i, that it is the difference between one period and another that is important. in other words it is the underlying trend that is important not absolute numbers.

i think if i were to spend enough time researching i could find plenty of things that outstrip sales of EVs by 2:1, 3:1 4:1 etc. thats not what is important. it is the relative growth of one thing against another that is important.

the question that has to be asked is, "are EV sales in western countries growing at a faster rate the ICE sales?" secondary to that, what does this mean for ICE sales in the short term, medium term and long term?"

also, if EVs are not "the future" of the transportation network and infrastructure, what is? green hydrogen? something else? more ICE cars that are less polluting?
