Actually - I first learnt of investing in high school. The class was business however the teacher, a remarkable man, drilled into us the best life forward is to get whatever job you enjoy but the goal should be to build up your passive income portfolio to wean off income-driven work. In his case he enjoyed teaching for the enjoyment and reward - he practiced what he preached, and honestly didn't really understand him with a high schooler brain at the time.
Good teachers make a big difference.
