That's a lovely story about your friendly accountant. I am friendly with my accountant, also. However, despite his knowledge of my enthusiasm for LTR, he is still telling me that I need to get some good dividend paying companies instead of one who pays not dividends.

Mind you, I may need to sell a few LTR's if my income becomes a bit inadequate, but will face that time when/if it comes. In the meantime, I am following the advice I have read on here by a poster who says "Enjoy the ride" or something like that!!! Anyway, I can't understand why shares which are in the five bagger category don't beat shares paying 4% dividends per year? I know the story about as one gets older one needs to have "safe" and conservative shares and nothing the least bit speccy.

I think accountant should listen to me rather than the other way around. lol.
