Today's complaint - the case of the shrinking loaf of Irrewarra Bread.
It costs me $8.50 per loaf. Now it has lost height considerably. Why is it that the weight of bread is never on the wrapping, to let us know what we are getting for this expensive bread? Pity I like it so well. I'm now considering researching Bakers' Delight and Brumby for their high end bread as substitutes.......grrrr.
I have sent a message to the company. Once before, I sent a message about loaves of bread with large holes. It was hot weather, and I wondered if the heat applied during its rise 1 and rise 2 period was affecting it. They said there were trainee bakers. I had sent them a photo of the holes, so they could see I was not complaining about nothing. They responded with several of their products and so I forgave them. The holes never appear now. But the loaf has certainly shrunk......
