For those interested in Lithium in batteries discussed last week
No claims to be an expert and is related back to being an investor in Lithium stocks / energy transition
So below will contain some errors, even on average. But is more about set up of some figures / spreadsheets of quantity of Lithium needed
to supply EV industry and what Liontown contributes. Their are questionable's there and learning to do, but when calculations are done on LCE or Li2O/Lithia as 100% Lithium KV's importance is diminished. And this happens - a popular online video maker made these errors and assumed our resource was insignificant, when it's one of the best in the world. Volumes of metals put in to help visualise the huge difference of Lithium to other metals - Li almost 2L per Kg Ni/Co/Cu just over 100mL (or 0.1L) per Kg. So [in a battery of Avg's as in table] Li ~twice volume Cu, ~4 times Vol Ni & xx of Co. So Goldilocks, this is why 10 ton vehicle estimate was given for any vehicle with ~63kg of Lithium, it's about Volume.# assume this causes spod worth more than battery grade and is an error in above

Second graph is to work out number of cars can be made from KV Resource, from work out of first graph
Am sure others here can calculate this more accurate, but the idea is something investors will seek to find out to help understand our investment
If LCE or any other measure is used, major errors occur. For example with LCE if confused for 99.5 % Li, LTR KV will only contribute to 41,059,200 cars to be made, or 18.8% of the 218million, or 1.64million p/a. And this is basically what happened on the popular video site
Note: World car production reached almost 100m in 2017 and 18 - will EV reach more? There is also storage, trucks, mining, and other Li uses
Just trying to make a contribution to the great company HC threads. Am overdue to update research in this area so will develop knowledge on this as clearly need to do and with tech developments. Wish everyone all the best with there LTR holding's
Thank-You's to Scarpa (sorry for mis-spelling earlier), Hi27, Goldilocks among others
If something above is completely wrong or mis-interpreted, please let us know. Please explain. Here to learn too.
