    Hi @xanax

Thanks for replying (on the daily - this thread may be better suited), hope it's an area of interest - no claim of an expert here, only an area of interest

Appreciate the fire issue with Li batteries as well known - honestly fail to understand the insistence on NMC NCA chemistry for this reason (and longevity Vs LFP also). But again reading Tesla reports and clearly they'll be around for some time. So solutions to dealing with fire are needed. One note is these issues make big news on media, however fires from ICE vehicles continue to outnumber EV's even on % and are far more dangerous. Li unable to be put out, but a more steady burn

Anyhow on your point of more sales of lithium, suggest it's counter productive to adoption of EV's and if continues un addressed may hinder adoption - guess opinions vary

Also, attempted to reply today to TR re small batteries, alas at work and looks like it hasn't load, maybe fat fingers? Was trying to add those small batteries you mention are accepted at local 'Transfer Stations' and other battery drop off points like retailers etc. There somehow separated and lithium ones are sent to a company connected to another ASX list co. LIT (wouldn't recommend it, dyor) and are incinerated and the remains sent overseas for metals recovery. They have a program and agreement in place with Bunnings, maybe others. *this info may need updating
[If not accepted at some drop points, or issues recycling them it news to me and am interested as to what the issues and who working on it if you have further insight?]

So if they are incinerated to recycle, suggest (without full knowledge) the elements may still all be there, even if a fire has occurred, just saying, as fire is used in the process to recover metals. Anyhow, a few mishaps in recycling the metals in Li batteries (a new tech) is no cause to give up on the idea.

All the best in your investing journey, your onto a good one here imho
And also interested to hear more on your role in metals recycling, were you to share
