Would you believe it, but gold actually dropped during the GFC from US$1031 down to 682 per oz! So you might be better of having enough coffee in the house while waiting it out. I went into cash in October 2007, but forgot all about my super at the time, because I though the pros look after that .... and then I checked.
Well got my own SMSF quick smart and got out of everything they looked after in May 2008. They asked me, but why now everything is coming back up? I said that why I want out now, so get me the cash quick smart!
