I have used IG and CMC and I am logged into both right now.
If you want ease of use, IG is great. They have the L2 platform(you install on your PC) and an online dealer. (you can only get volume with the L2 dealer, not the online access). You have issues logging into the online dealer from time to time as its java and java is buggy.
CMC is more professional IMHO, but harder to use and to learn. Seems to be memory and resource hungry on your PC. Will lock your PC if left overnight logged in.
The gold price on both is currently within 10 cents across platforms.
Given the choice, I would prob go CMC eventhough its not DMA because I have had more success getting filled and being able to exit positions even if the prices are not as good as IG.
The charting on CMC is also better for what I do. IG uses external charting providers for long term charts and they are less than perfect to be kind. CMC combine tick charts and long term charts all in one.
