As an example to buried pegmatites KDR's Earl Grey deposit is the best example of it. There was no clear surface expression of pegmatites outcrops of Earl Grey pegmatites at the south where it approaches to the surface. The lithium was discovered in the historic cores drilled for gold first then the whole area was drilled.
Firstly they modelled the pegmatite, then projected the surface expression during the exploration and drilled that area.
