I did very nicely out of the KDR saga, and thats why I'm now holding some LTR. I suspect a similar story to unfold including the fact that LTR will be taken out prior to getting to production or probably even mining stage. Two further aspects of the KDR story (as far as not doing more drilling and proving up bigger reserves goes) need to be remembered. These are:
1. Despite having potentially more reserves to confirm, because of those unexpected & drawn out MZN court battles regarding actual reserve ownership, it would have been silly for KDR to throw more money into drilling until the legal outcome and appeal period had lapsed.
2. KDR's expertise and focus was on gold - not lithium (which was a lucky dip accident). I doubt the BOD ever really contemplated going much further down the lithium track after the JV, despite the announcements and claims about LiOH production potential opportunities at the time.
