Is that why Elon is selling all his possessions and renting a house? because he's doing all this for himself and is only doing what he's doing for economics? Come on! If he was in it for the cash he would be in tech companies taking on Facebook, Google or what ever, adding sfa to humanity. That's what his background is so with his intelligence it would be easy to make money there and lots of it. The money he's making now is a biproduct if his vision. Love him or hate him that's what he's doing and we are lucky/smart to be in a stock that is going ride off the back of that vision. We are all part of helping advance humanity in a way albeit for most of us it actually is for economics but hey.
