I was having dinner with an aircraft crash assessor and a European maintenance engineer, and the conversation turned to SMN. His opinion of the company is extremely positive—he understands the technical challenges better than most. He believes that if SMN delivers what we expect, it could solve numerous problems and unlock massive potential.
We also discussed the recent Indian crash. According to him, the co-pilot mistakenly retracted the flaps—reducing lift—when he was supposed to raise the landing gear. That, he said, was the critical error. I guess time will tell if that assessment holds up.
