"On May 30, 2025, the FAA announced that it had renewed Boeing’s Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) for three years. According to the FAA’s own website, ODAs allow authorized parties to “issue certificates and conduct certain inspections on behalf of the agency”.
I wonder if this suggests that the approval by FAA of the APB application is effectively in the hands of Boeing?
Bu perhaps this is a different circumstance as the CVM is a third party application and not a Boeing product, thus still requires more involvement and direct oversight by FAA for approval.
I guess we'll find out in the next few months.
