I've been short the ASX200 for exactly a month (at 6440) and severely lightened by long positions in my SMSF and trading account all through December. I thought the probabilities were that the market would bounce back at about 5870 but sold out of my long positions as a precaution.
I agree with you - it's time to keep your powder dry and hope for the mother of all rebounds, hopefully around the August lows but it could be much, much lower than that!!
