    Thanks for the list of how Turnbull has failed the left in his bid to remain leader of the Coalition.
    I'm more convinced than ever that our PM places more importance on keeping his job rather than losing it by pushing an unwinnable personal agenda.
    In short most folk know the complex game of personal political survival Turnbull plays.
    If he rubs up the Nats the wrong way he will be gone. New Nats leader now though.
    He also must please the right side of the Libs to survive.
    That's why we don't see Mal out on any great campaigns as the leader pushing for particular policies, he knows not to divide the masses.
    Funny thing is that through all his political fence sitting and keeping a low profile on devicive big ticket policy, he is still more popular than Shorten for PM. In the mean time his party has been readied for the slaughter.
    Credit where it is due. Turnbull plays the long game.
