Back in the early 80’s there was a big gun store in Sydney having a great sale.
Since we couldn’t get there I asked my sister to go down on the train and pick it up.
She went to the local police station and purchased a gun licence for $2 and brought the .222 home on the train.
No one was in the least bit surprised or concerned.
If we have to take our rifles into the gun shop these days we feel like terrorists when we carry them from the car park to the store.
