Are you implying that there is no one in Malaysia who support Lynas? At least go to the Lynas Malaysia Facebook page and look through the comments section to have an idea.

Lynas Malaysia also has conducted plant visits for the locals living around the plant. They have even touched the rare earths with their bare hands.

Also note that when the defamation court case was moved to Kuantan from Kula Lumpur, Lynas had argued (and I do not see a rebuttal on that point from SMSL) that most of the supporters of SMSL were located outside of Kuantan. So these supporters are not living near the plant either, (one of the most vocal supporters lives in Australia) in fact no one can live near Lynas since it is in an industrial park with other plants, including chemical plants.
