IN EXISTENTIAL social networking news, developers have created an app that lets you play Russian Roulette with your Facebook account.

The app called Social Roulette gives you a one in six chance of having all of your friends, photos and likes deleted before your account is deactivated.

Yes you can reactivate your account afterwards but none of your stuff will be there. You'll have to start again.

As far as we can tell, the app is one of the only games to confront users with the end of their online social lives.

"Everyone thinks about deleting their account at some point, it's a completely normal reaction to the overwhelming nature of digital culture," the developers wrote on the Social Roulette website.

"Is it time to consider a new development in your life? Are you looking for the opportunity to start fresh? Or are you just seeking cheap thrills at the expense of your social network? Maybe it's time for you to play Social Roulette."

Like any decent game, there are rules. The first is you can only play Social Roulette with your own account. You are also only allowed to play once a day.

So if you're feeling a little socially suicidal, try out this app. If you're feeling lucky.
