Caketin , I'd be guessing it's an Australian living in Bali and possibly originally from WA and a miner or hangs around some of the bars in Kuta that the crews frequent on their time off from camps.....You are right about the name ,it does mean white monkey ......the term monkey here is pretty offensive and I don't know any culturally aware foreigners here who would use it to describe themselves .Perhaps that is what bargirls call him ......no local guy would use it jokingly ....it's almost fighting words . It is sometimes used to describe naughty children
