@Fishinnick; your figures do NOT take account of John Howard's 10% GST on almost everything, they totally ignore the 'dark economy' and do not differentiate between $Feeding $Greed vs investing in core public services and infrastructure.
Nor do they take account of $Future $Debt embedded into the Budget by John Howard and by his Liberal Party successors - little things such as the $84 Billion JobKeeper honey pot for businesses, the tax minimisation for Australia's wealthiest people and even superannuation for $Billionaires.
As for the comparison of NSW to Victoria in your data - some serious explanation of those figures is needed!
